Biography

Faith is a young girl who is quite strong and courageous. She lives with both of her parents and two siblings. Her parents are not employed; they practice small-scale farming. Despite their best efforts to meet the needs of their children, they face challenges in providing for school fees, as some of the children are already in secondary school, like Faith, while others are still in primary school. This situation often leads them to seek help from friends and relatives. Currently, Faith is studying at a local Secondary School, where she is in grade 9. Although things are difficult, she remains hopeful and believes that she will be able to bring positive change to her life, her family, and her community. Let’s pray for her and her family to thrive.

About Faith's Home: Makueni

Makueni County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
