Biography
Jamilla is a sweet and friendly young lady who loves the Lord and desires to be a cardiologist one day. She is currently in 12th grade at a girl's high school where she is an average student. Jamilla lives with her parents and two siblings. Unfortunately, lack of education as well as a challenging economy have left Jamilla's parents without a consistent job. They are casual laborers who depend on odd jobs in the community for an income to feed and educate their three children. It has not been easy for Jamilla but she refuses to give up on her dreams and believes that with a hand to hold, she can make it and become an agent of positive change in her family and community.
