Biography
Muuo is a remarkably eager, bright and determined young boy currently in grade 6, who possesses an intense desire to learn, excel in his studies and passionately pursue his biggest dreams. Muuo’s educational journey is constantly threatened by severe, persistent financial challenges that make it extremely difficult to cover his basic tuition fee. Since his family lacks a steady source of income, he faces the constant threat of being sent home due to school fees arrears, creating a gap in his foundational learning. His mother relies entirely on casual labor jobs within the village to provide for Muuo and his three siblings. With the right support and encouragement, he has the opportunity to grow into the person God has created him to be.May the Lord bless you as you pray for him and his future.
About Muuo's Home: Makueni
Makueni County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
