Biography
Gloria is a sweet and joyful young girl who is join her 2nd grade at a local Primary school. She lives with her single mother who takes care of Gloria and her sister as well as four orphan children. Thanks to this program Gloria has been able to go to school without any challenges.She is really working hard in school to bring out the best of her potential but her former sponsor is no longer able to walk with her. Would you consider walking with Gloria and giving her the opportunity to overcome the challenges she faces?
About Gloria's Home: Makueni
Makueni County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
