Biography

Alice is a hardworking and outgoing young woman. By the grace of God, she was rescued from FGM and early marriage when she was still very young. She lived at a children's home for some time but when the owner passed away, she was on her own. Again by God's grace, a well wisher in the community took her in and since then has been like a mom to Alice. This woman also took in Alice's younger sister and while she was able to keep them clothed and fed, their education proved quite a challenge. Thankfully, a kind donor was able to help Alice finish high school last year and allow her to participate in a missions internship program where she really developed a passion to help others like herself. However, the donor is no longer able to continue and without some college education, it will be very difficult for Alice to navigate the job market and the economy in Kenya. Would you be willing to stand with her for several years and help her finish strong?

About Alice's Home: Kajiado

Kajiado county is located in the southern part of Kenya, known for its diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage and safari animals. The main language spoken there is Maasai and the typical diet includes mostly animal products and some green vegetables. Many in Kajiado would consider themselves believers but are still buried in traditional practices such as FGM. As in other parts of Kenya, Islam is also a fast growing religion there
