Biography
Paul is a hardworking and very determined young man. He is the firstborn of three children at home but he carries the weight of the family on his shoulders. Paul’s Dad is crippled as one leg is twisted and he walks with a cane. His mother is weak and though she tries, she cannot do much. Paul tries to provide by raising a few crops in their garden but frequent drought in their area makes it a challenge. He is determined to study and has been able to go to school by agreeing to be the only day scholar in an all boarding school. Paul has committed his life to Christ and believes with a hand to hold, he can rise above the challenges he faces, becoming a light in his family and a blessing to his generation.
About Paul's Home: Kitui
Kitui County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits, and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
