Biography
Terry Kitale is a friendly and hardworking young woman. She comes from a very remote village in a dry and arid part of Kenya. Terry is the second to last of seven children in her family. Sadly, her Dad had very little education and therefore has only been doing his best to support the family by doing odd jobs in the community. Keeping the children clothed and fed is a challenge, let alone keeping all of them in school in a society where academic papers are vital. Terry's grandmother sold her cow for the girl to be able to join high school but now she has no way to continue and is trusting God for a friend to walk with her and help her reach her potential in Christ. Would you be the one to walk with her?
About Terry's Home: Kitui
Kitui County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits, and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
