Biography

Gloria is a bright and God-loving young woman currently in grade 10 at a local Girls' High School. She lives with her mother, who has faced challenges after her parents’ divorce years ago. Gloria has one sibling who, after finishing 12th grade, couldn’t pursue higher education due to financial constraints. Gloria's journey to grade 10 was not easy; her mother, often battling anemia and frequently in the hospital, had to take out a loan to enable her to start school. Despite these challenges, Gloria possesses great potential and aspires to support her family and help other needy children in her community. Please keep her in your prayers that someone will support her in this journey.

About Gloria's Home: Kitui

Kitui County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short.   The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits, and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
