Biography
Blessings is a God-fearing, hardworking young woman currently in grade 12 at a local girls' high school. She comes from a family headed by her mother and has two siblings. They live in a town characterized by a slum-like environment. Her mother, unable to secure a formal job due to a lack of education, relies on odd jobs to support the family. This has made it challenging to meet the daily needs of the family let alone keep Blessings and her siblings in school. Despite these obstacles, Blessing is determined to fulfill God's purpose for her life and hopes to be a guiding light for her family and community. Are you ready to support her on this journey?
About Blessings's Home: Kitui
Kitui County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits, and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
