Biography
Faith is a hardworking and bright girl. She is currently waiting to join grade 10 and has not been able to due to a lack of funds despite a good performance in primary school. Faith is the 6th of 7 children in her family. Sadly, her dad left the family five years ago and her Mom and older siblings have been striving to provide despite their own lack of education and the dry climate in their home area. Faith’s family is also taking care of two of her cousins since their parents are not able. It has been a very challenging time but they are trusting the Lord to come through for them and Faith believes with a hand to hold, she will overcome these challenges becoming a blessing in her generation. Would you be the one to give her this opportunity?
About Faith's Home: Kitui
Kitui County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits, and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
