Biography
Julia is a strong and resilient young woman who, by the grace of God, managed to complete form four (grade 12). As the firstborn of four children, she faces the challenge of her parents, who work casual jobs and struggle to provide enough for their children's education. During her high school years, Julia relied on the support of other students for her needs. Despite obtaining a grade that qualifies her for university, she has been out of school for a year now. However, her hopes remain high as she believes that God will open a way for her to achieve her dreams. Let's keep her in our prayers.
About Julia's Home: Kitui
Kitui County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits, and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
