Biography

Baraka is a friendly and hardworking young man. He is currently in grade 8 at Ngomano Comprehensive School where he is an average grade 8 student. Sadly Baraka lost his parents at a young age and found himself alone in a small town called Kambu where he roamed the streets, looking and begging for food. By God’s grace, an older couple from a neighboring village took him in, bought him a uniform and sent him to school. While they care about him and have taken him as their son, they are elderly and are concerned that they will not be able to help him complete his education. Would you be the one to hold his hand in this area and give him the chance to develop to his God-given potential?

About Baraka's Home: Makueni

Makueni County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
