Biography
Margret is a beautiful and hardworking young woman currently in grade 7 at a Local Junior Secondary School. She lives with her two siblings, including a twin sister, under their grandmother's care. Their single mother has faced struggles with drinking and eventually abandoned them, which has placed a heavy burden on their grandmother. She works tirelessly to provide food and ensure that Margret and her siblings can attend school. Unfortunately, due to a lack of school fees, Margret often finds herself in and out of school. Despite these significant challenges, she remains determined to fulfill her potential and become who God intended her to be. Would you be the one to walk with her and give her this opportunity?
About Margret's Home: Makueni
Makueni County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
