Biography
John is a bright, welcoming and focused young boy. John stays with his grandmother who is a small-scale farmer. His grandmother is very needy since he is not unemployed with an unreliable source of income.John’s biological parents died, he is an orphan. John has one two siblings who are also dependent on his needy grandmother. Life has been hard for them because his grandmother is struggling to pay for their school fees and to feed them. John is studying currently at a Local primary School. He is doing his best to finish his education to help his family and serve his community by the help of God. Makueni County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
