Biography
Grace is a kind and prayerful young woman. She is currently joining 11th grade at a local Girl's School where she is a slightly above average student. Grace is from the village and when she scored well on her primary education, her mom was determined that though they don't have the funds, Grace would receive a good education and she took firewood to the school in exchange for a school fees as that's all she had. When the Principal told us of Grace's predicament, we were touched to help and have just been doing our best amongst ourselves to raise what is needed to educate her but we're trusting God for a sponsor who will walk with her and give her the hope to finish even university, becoming all the Lord has called her to be in this generation.
About Grace's Home: Makueni
Makueni County is a part of Southeastern Kenya generally known as Ukambani. The climate is usually hot and dry making farming a challenge and food supplies short. The main diet in these areas is corn products, beans, some fruits and green vegetables such as kale when the weather permits. The main language spoken is Kikamba and the primary religion is Christianity though there is still much traditional superstition and a recent influx of Islam.
