A Life of Hope and Impact

Our dear Neema Mutua’s journey is a great reminder of what can happen when someone is given an opportunity to overcome their challenges and succeed in life.

Growing up in a large family, Neema’s parents often struggled to provide for all their children's daily needs as well as their education. But when she reached Grade 9, during a mission to her school, the teachers told us about a very committed and prayerful girl who lacked the resources to stay in school. One of our friends from Canada who was with us came alongside her, making it possible for her to continue her education and develop her potential.

Years later, that investment has come full circle! Neema has successfully graduated from Embu University with a degree in Education and is qualified to teach math and business at a high school level. However, she is back with us, helping at the office with accounts and administrative work. Seeing her around gives a tangible picture of hope to the others who are still in high school and college and when she has a chance, Neema is always serving and encouraging them.

What began as a helping hand during her school years has become a story of perseverance, achievement, and new possibilities. We are so proud of Neema and deeply grateful to her sponsors who believed in her potential and helped make this journey possible!
